New year, new you, right? Or so they say.
I’ve been asked a lot lately what my advice as a doctor is this year. So let's go into 2025 doing the thing.
I’m so excited to share some thoughts and keep it super simple because, let’s face it, we’re all scrolling through Instagram and TikTok, seeing people telling us to “change this, do that,” and it gets overwhelming. Even I, as a doctor in the healthcare field, can’t help but think, “Whoa, this is too much!”
Number one: Start small.
Seriously, January 1st isn’t necessarily the time to do a total 180 on your life. If you’re not feeling so motivated, that’s perfectly okay. Be patient with yourself. If you’re amped up and ready to go, that’s great too—but remember, if you don’t start right now, it doesn’t mean you won’t start later. Small steps add up over time, and I’d love to know which one you’re taking.
Number two: How you do the little things is how you will do everything.
Those “little things” might seem boring, but they make a world of difference. Whether it’s wiping down your workout equipment or making time for that daily ten-minute walk, it’s in these details that bigger transformations happen.
Number three: Live in gratitude.
This is huge. Neurologically, it changes your brain and can alter the outcomes in your life. Even when something is hard or you’re feeling pain, ask, “What is this trying to teach me?” It’s not always easy, but reframing your mindset this way can be a game-changer.
Finally, I’m doing a special giveaway: for every five-star written review, I will donate $10. Think of it as a win-win: You get to share your feedback (and help the podcast reach more butthole breathers), and we help raise money for a great cause. So please invite your friends, family, or anyone who needs these reminders to join in.
Thanks for hanging out with me. Let’s start small, get real about the little things, and live in gratitude.
Toodaloo!
